There are multiple ways for how technology has impacted my life to this day. One impact is the growth of the “web” because this is where I pay my bills, email friends or family, and surf the web. These are very convenient for the fact that I do not have to mail checks or send cards to relatives and then wait a couple of days for them to receive it. Technology has made my life so easy that I do not even have to move off my couch say to, change the TV station or turn the lights off. There are some many devices out there today that eliminates the job of actually getting up and doing it yourself. I guess what I am getting at is America could not be any more lethargic because technology today makes it possible to control almost anything from a remote device. In a sense though, I can’t argue with the progress because I would sound like a hypocrite if I did. I would say that school has become for accessible through the web, which is great for many reasons. I happen to commute to school so, Purdue’s online website makes it easy for me to check for assignments or find out current grades for classes. I can even register online for classes then turn right around a make a payment for the current semester. These are all made possible because the advancement in technology has become so suitable for everyday tasks, that really there is no reason to look back.

I agree with the ease of use that technology has made. Its great to check my grades online instead of asking the instructor directly. I also get what you mean when you talk about everything being "remote". I don't think that everything has to be remote, but it is a sign of the times for your house to be remote controlled from the web.
